Divine Invitation

“Come, now, and let us reason together” Isaiah.1:18

Summery:- God does hate our sin, even condemns it, yet He calls us in His grace.Better to heed Him today.

Amazing indeed is God's grace and mercies. Immediately after rebuking Judah vehemently against her sins, God is inviting them for a dialogue.

Yes, God is still calling. It's not too late to go to Him. Whatever may be our state today-wicked beyond human imagination-God in His longsuffering calling us to Himself. Notice what the Lord promises here. “ Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red like crimson, they shall be as wool. If you are willing and obedient...” Isaiah. 1:18. Not just forgiveness He promises but total transformation. No religious system or mantra of guru can do it for us.

How could the Lord do that? Isaiah explains it in the following chapters. It was through atoning death of the Lord Jesus Christ; God could forgive and justify even the most wicked men on earth. Isaiah. 53:4, 5, 10.

What a loss if we reject this gracious offer. It is our part to go to Him and plead for mercy. That's the best option. What else can we do? At His feet we can confess our sins, share our burden and find cleansing. Faithful is He who has promised.
