Gay Pride March
Homosexuals in Indian cities came out in full force for another pride march on June 28 09. This time with more confidence as the government showed a willingness to review the 150 year old law that penalizes sexual relations between the same genders.
Thousands of lesbians, gays, bisexual, transgender and intersex (LGBTI) individuals partied by dancing, hugging and kissing each other. They say that last year it was a protest march but this year it was to celebrate.
They see a favorable change in the attitude of general public as well as the authorities towards the same sex couples. They consider it as a sign of progressive thinking.
One gay activist laments that the Indian law that criminalizes homosexuality was brought by the British based on the King James Bible. He says the British themselves got rid of this law but it still lingers in all their former colonies.
They argue that it is a violation of their rights. The media also supports them saying it is their freedom and human rights to express their sexual orientation whatever way they like.
Apostle Paul has rightly stated, “Whose end is destruction, whose god is their belly and whose glory is in their shame …” Philippians 3:19
Definitely God does love even the homosexuals & lesbians. The grace of God can convert any pervert. That is the good news of the Bible. The Lord Jesus Christ is able to change such wicked heart also.
Nevertheless homosexuality is an abomination in the sight of God. He hates it so much. Sodom and Gomorrah was burnt because of the very sin. Not only the individuals, families and the entire society will have to bear the consequences of such perverted life. Some of the nations are already reaping the consequences! Romans. 1:24 —31.
